Rafters Release Remaining Promotional Schedule Including Weekly Promotions

Wisconsin Rapids, WI-Thursday, April 25th. The Rafters have been unveiling their promotional schedule for the 2013 season during the month of April. Today the team announced all remaining game day promotions for 2013 as well as weekly promotions fans can expect throughout the summer.

Join the Rafters on Thursday, June 6th as they take on the Battle Creek Bombers for Incourage Community Foundation Night, featuring a reusable bag giveaway.  Incourage Community Foundation has a great love for South Wood County. Wednesday, July 26th will be the ever popular "Guaranteed Win" Night. Gates will open at 6:05 p.m. for the 7:05 p.m. start. If the Rafters lose the night's contest against the Green Bay Bullfrogs, all fans in attendance following the completion of the game, will receive a ticket to one of the Rafters remaining home games upon exit.

Bacon Appreciation Night will make its return to the 2013 promotional schedule on Sunday, June 30th as the Rafters take on the La Crosse Loggers at 5:05 p.m. with gates opening at 4:05 p.m.  The night will be dedicated to all things bacon.  Fans will be able to enjoy many favorites like BLT's, chocolate dipped bacon, and many others!  There will also be between-inning bacon themed promotions throughout the game.

Are you feeling lucky?  If so, make sure to join the Rafters and Ho-Chunk Gaming Nekoosa as the Rafters host their first ever Casino Night on Monday, July 1st at 7:05 p.m.  The Rafters will feature casino games and great prizes all night long as the Rafters host the La Crosse Loggers.  Ho-Chunk Gaming Nekoosa, your ticket to more.

Happy Birthday America!  The Rafters and Incourage Community Foundation are proud of this great nation.  On the 4th of July, the Rafters have partnered with Incourage Community Foundation to present a two for one ticket offer.  All fans that bring a non-perishable food item to the ballpark will have the opportunity to purchase two tickets for the price of one for the July 4th game.  The game will begin at 3:05 p.m., and will be over in plenty of time to head downtown and view the spectacular fireworks show Wisconsin Rapids has to offer.

Hot Dog Appreciation Night makes its way onto the 2013 promotional schedule, providing a perfect opportunity to salute an old ballpark favorite in numerous ways! Come out to the ballpark with an empty stomach on Sunday, July 14th as the Rafters take on the Eau Claire Express for afternoon baseball at 1:05 p.m. The entire afternoon will be dedicated exclusively to satisfying your hunger with creative ways to enjoy the ballpark classic!  There will also be between-inning hot dog themed promotions throughout the game.

Attention all hunters, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts! The first ever Outdoorsman Night is set to take place on Sunday, July 28th as the Rafters take on a North Division opponent for the first time in the team's history, the St. Cloud Rox! Come out to the ballpark when gates open at 4:00 to help celebrate the great outdoors with local organizations, activities, prizes, and a special guest appearance by Melissa Bachman, producer and co-host for outdoor television shows including North American Hunter. The entire evening is presented by Bucks & Bull's Archery, Galles Marine, Antler Archer's, and Whitetails Unlimited. All of those organizations will be set up at the ballpark during the evening to share their products and information with all fans in attendance. Outdoor themed on-field promotions will take place throughout the evening and concessions specials will also be available.

On Friday August 2nd the Rafters play host to the Express during an evening that will feature Schierl Tire and Service Night.  This night will be a benefit to the area Boys and Girls Clubs.  Stay tuned for more details on this game.  Schierl Tire and Service is locally owned and operates full-service automotive repair and tire centers throughout Central Wisconsin.  Schierl Tire and Service, best tire prices...period.

In addition to these great promotions the Rafters will feature four weekly promotions and a few weekly ticket specials.  Every Wednesday will be Stevens Point Brewery Giveaway Night.  The first 200 people to purchase a Point beer will receive a gift courtesy of Stevens Point Brewery. 

The ever popular Budweiser Thirsty Thursday will be back in 2013.  Every Thursday will feature 2 for 1 domestic taps from the time the gates open until the end of the 5th inning.  The 2013 season will feature 7 Thursday night games. 

Friday is a day dedicated to the workers!  Every Friday fans can purchase the Point Special Working Man Ticket Special.  The Working Man Ticket Special is $11 and includes two 16oz Point Special cans, two hot dogs and a bleacher ticket to the Rafters game (no upgrades/exchanges possible). 

Bring your kids to the ballpark on Saturday home games and have them ready to run!  Kids will have the opportunity to run the bases postgame every Saturday evening, all made possible by Marshfield Clinic. 

Sunday games will feature the McCain Foods Family Pack.  For only $38, a family can get four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas and two baskets of Brew City French Fries.  Ticket specials and packages are available in advance!  Call the box office for more information!

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are members of the 16-team summer collegiate Northwoods League. The Northwoods League has more teams, plays more games, and draws more fans than any other Summer Collegiate League in North America. In 2013 the Northwoods League will celebrate its 20th season. Opening Day at historic Witter Field is scheduled for Wednesday, May 29th at 7:05 pm against the Lakeshore Chinooks.
