Spokane Chiefs News Release

The Spokane Chiefs will host games three and four of the WHL Playoff's Western Conference Semi Finals in the Spokane Arena on Tuesday, April 9th and Wednesday, April 10th at 7:00pm. Tickets are on sale now.

The Chiefs opponent has yet to be determined and is based on the outcome of the Seattle/Kelowna first round series. Seattle currently leads Kelowna in their best-of-seven series three games to two.

Teams reseed in the conference semi-finals based on regular season standings. Portland finished with the league's top record and will remain as the number one seed. If Seattle wins their series with Kelowna, Spokane will be the third seed and play Kamloops, which would be the second seed. Seattle would be the fourth seed and play Portland.

If Kelowna wins, the Rockets will become the second seed, Kamloops the third and Spokane the fourth. In that scenario, Spokane would play Portland.

In either scenario, Spokane will not have home ice advantage and open on the road either in Portland or Kamloops on Friday, April 5th with game two on Saturday, April 6th. Games five, six and seven, if necessary, will be announced at a later date once the opponent is confirmed.

Tickets for Tuesday, April 9th (game 'C' for package holders) and Wednesday, April 10th (game 'D') are now on sale now at the Spokane Chiefs office by calling (509) 535-PUCK (7825) or all TicketsWest outlets.
