
Rich Pasquale Tapped to Coach Wild Things

Washington, Pa - According to officials at CONSOL Energy Park, Rich Pasquale has accepted the position as bench/hitting coach for The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Financial.
Pasquale comes to the Wild Things with a history rich in baseball. The Beaver Falls native has been involved in baseball most of his adult life. He has scouted for both the Boston Red Sox and the Cleveland Indians; he served as assistant coach at Pitt and Slippery Rock. He was head coach for Youngstown State for five years, where he saw six of his players drafted/singed by professional clubs.
Pasquale will work primarily with infielders and outfielders, and he will assist field manager Bart Zeller in game management.
"We are fortunate to have Rich join our staff," Zeller. "He has a very impressive resume in baseball and brings the passion and commitment to the game that we are looking for. In addition, he is a local individual, who is well known throughout the Pittsburgh area as a solid and experienced baseball man."
Pasquale lives in Zelienople with his wife Mindy and their children Dominic, Maura, and Kara.
The Wild Things, who will host the 2013 Frontier League All Star Game in July, are gearing up for their season opener, scheduled for Friday May 24th.
