Martin Joins Heat, Tuzzolino Returned to Utah

Abbotsford, BC - Abbotsford Heat General Manager Jay Feaster announced two transactions today. Defenceman James Martin has been reassigned to the Abbotsford Heat from the Utah Grizzlies, while Defenceman Nick Tuzzolino has been returned on loan to the Utah Grizzlies - the ECHL affiliate of the Abbotsford Heat and the Calgary Flames.

Martin has played 44 games with the Grizzlies this this season recording three goals, 10 assists, 13 points and 54 penalty minutes. The second-year pro played 28 games with the Heat last season after signing with the Calgary Flames out of Training Camp in the Fall. Martin was a member of the Kootenay Ice team that participated in the 2011 Memorial Cup after winning the WHL Championship.

Tuzzolino has posted one goal and 11 penalty minutes over 14 games with the Heat this season. The Buffalo, New York product has played 36 games this season with the Grizzlies recording four goals, 26 assists and 30 points while compiling 132 penalty minutes.
