Aberdeen Wings News Release
Weekend Recap
This past weekend the Wings earned a split against the Austin Bruins. Friday night the Wings were able to keep one of the NAHL's top scoring teams off the score board as they earned a 1-0 win over the Bruins. Peter Krieger scored the only goal needed to beat the Bruins on the power play just 16 seconds into the 2nd period. Assisting on the play were Jordan Heller and Steven Johnson. For his effort Zach was named NAHL's Central Division 2nd Star of the Week and Juniorhockey.com star of the Week. Saturday night was a similar story for the first 40 minutes. Aberdeen was once again able to jump out on top with a goal from Jonathan Grebosky at the 6:22 mark of the 1st period. Assisting on the goal were Peter Krieger and Jake Horton. The 3rd period belonged to the Bruins offense as they were able to put 4 on the board and skate away with a 4-1 win. In net Saturday night for the Wings was Chad Catt who made 30 saves on 34 shots.
