Montgomery Biscuits News Release
The University of Alabama and Auburn University baseball teams are joining together along with the Vs. Cancer Foundation to help fight childhood cancer at the MAX Capital City Classic on Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
The Vs. Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving kids' lives by empowering athletes and communities to fund lifesaving childhood cancer efforts. In honor of kids battling cancer, both teams, including their head coaches, will be shaving their heads on the field just prior to the first pitch of the game.
Both teams encourage fans to show their support by making a donation to the Vs. Cancer Foundation. Donations will be taken online at www.maxcapitalcityclassic.com and at the MAX Capital City Classic game.
Alabama and Auburn will be promoting this fundraiser and the money raised will benefit the Vs. Cancer Foundation, the Children's Hospital of Alabama, and research efforts at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
The MAX Capital City Classic is on Tuesday, March 5, 2013. To purchase tickets, visit the website at www.maxcapitalcityclassic.com or call (334)323-2255. For more information on Vs. Cancer Foundation, visit vs-cancer.org.
