Rio Grande Valley's Tim Ohlbrecht Signs with Houston Rockets

NEW YORK, Feb. 25, 2013 - The Houston Rockets today signed center Tim Ohlbrecht for the 18th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2012-13 NBA Development League season. Ohlbrecht joins more than 115 NBA players with NBA D-League experience currently on NBA rosters.
Ohlbrecht (6-11, 255, Germany) has appeared in 32 games, 29 starts, for the Vipers this season, averaging 13.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.6 blocks. A 2013 NBA D-League All-Star, Ohlbrecht scored 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor to go with a game-high 12 rebounds for the Prospects team in a 139-125 win over the Futures squad. At the time of his signing, Ohlbrecht led the NBA D-League in field goal percentage (.605, 164-of-271).
A member of the German National team, Ohlbrecht is expected to join the Rockets today and be available when the team hosts the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday, Feb. 27.
