Austin, TX February 24, 2013 - The Austin Toros (20-13) earned a big win Sunday afternoon defeating the Iowa Energy 113-102 while claiming the first place spot in the NBA D-League Central Division. The win marks five straight and three consecutive home wins for the Toros.
It was an all-around effort by the Toros who had six players finish with double figures. JaMychal Green led the way with 20 points and 13 rebounds, while Pat Sullivan was a spark off the bench shooting 8-11 from the field, totaling 16 points. Spurs assignee Cory Joseph and Tre Kelley finished with 14 points apiece, while Jamarr Sanders added in 12 points with a personal best six steals. Chris Roberts rounded out the scoreboard in one of his best games since becoming a Toro, finishing with 16 points.
The Energy (7-27) lost their third game in a row against the Toros. Chris Wright led all scorers with 21 points. Paul Harris contributed 19 points and three rebounds.
