CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, February 19, 2013) - Chivas USA announced today that the club has agreed to trade midfielder Shalrie Joseph to Seattle Sounders FC in exchange for the No. 15 allocation ranking. As part of the trade, Seattle will receive Chivas USA's natural second-round picks in the 2014 and 2015 MLS SuperDraft. Per league and club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Rojiblancos acquired the 10-year MLS veteran last August in a trade with New England. The 34-year old Grenada native recorded two goals and an assist in 12 starts for the Red-and-White, logging 1,080 minutes at midfield and center back.

Chivas USA will kick off its ninth season when it hosts the Columbus Crew at The Home Depot Center as part of MLS' March to Soccer on Saturday, March 2, beginning at 7:30 p.m. (PT). Ticket packs and individual tickets are now available. For more information please call 1-877-CHIVAS-1 or visit cdchivasusa.com . Follow us on Twitter @cdchivasusa and Facebook.com/chivasusa .
