VANCOUVER, BC - The Kamloops Blazers scored 30 seconds after the Vancouver Giants tied the game to retake the lead in the second period, en route to a 4-1 win over the Giants Wednesday night at the Pacific Coliseum.
Matt Needham scored 2:30 into the second period to give the Blazers a 2-1 lead. Kale Kessy sealed the deal and made it 4-1 for the Blazers with a power play goal midway through the third period.
Arvin Atwal scored the lone goal for the Giants.
Giants' goalie Jared Rathjen faced 28 shots.
Vancouver had 23 shots on goal and went 0-for-6 on the power play.
