BELOIT, WI - The Beloit Snappers have announced that long time Beloit College head baseball coach Dave DeGeorge will be the featured speaker at the organization's 9th Annual Hot Stove Banquet at the Eclipse Center on February 5th.

DeGeorge joins Oakland Athletics front office executives Ted Polakowski and Keith Lieppman and former Athletics outfielder and current Snappers manager Ryan Christenson, all of whom will also be speaking at the banquet.

A graduate of Beloit College in 1989, DeGeorge has spent the last 22 seasons as the school's head baseball coach and has compiled a long list of accomplishments during his tenure. Since he was named to the position in 1991, he has racked up the most wins of any coach in program history, has twice been named Midwest Conference Coach of the Year and also led his team to its first ever conference title in 2009. DeGeorge also served as an assistant for the football team from 1991-2009, coaching defense and special teams.

Tickets for the event are $40 per person and include dinner, two box seat ticket vouchers for any April Snappers home game in 2013 and the program for the evening. Tables of eight are also available for $300 ($37.50 per ticket). A portion of the evening's proceeds will be donated to Beloit Meals on Wheels.

The festivities will begin at 5:15pm with the silent auction and social hour. Dinner will be served at 6:30pm and the program will start at approximately 7:15pm.

Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased by calling the Snappers front office at 608-362-2272 or by stopping by Pohlman Field at 2301 Skyline Drive in Beloit.
