
Santa Cruz Warriors Enjoy the Home Crowd in a Win against Tulsa

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors defeated the Tulsa 66ers 93-72 in front of a sold-out crowd Friday, snapping a four-game losing streak and staying perfect at the Kaiser Permanente Arena.
The Warriors were again led by Taylor Griffin, who scored a game-high 21 points and was one rebound shy of a double-double. Three other Warriors were in double figures - Stefhon Hannah scored 15, Cameron Jones added 14 and Daniel Nwaelele chipped in with 13 off the bench.
Tulsa was paced by Perry Jones, on assignment from the Oklahoma City Thunder, who logged the only double-double of the night with 13 points and a game-high 18 rebounds. Hollis Thompson scored a team-high 18 points, while Daniel Orton, also on assignment from the Thunder, scored 8.
The Warriors defense was again on display, with the Warriors holding the 66ers to 34.2% shooting from the field. The Warriors shot 42.3% from the field, but the 66ers had the slight edge in the rebounding battle (48-45). Tulsa jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, but the Warriors went on a 12-0 run and held the lead for the remainder of the game.
The Warriors will tip-off against the Tulsa 66ers once more on Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at the Kaiser Permanente Arena.
