The Canadian Hockey League in association with the three regional leagues, the Halifax Mooseheads Hockey Club, and Home Hardware Stores Limited, today announced that Erie Otters left wing Stephen Harper is one of 40 CHL players that will compete in the 2013 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game at the Halifax Metro Centre on January 16, 2013.

Harper has scored seven goals and added nine assists for 16 points this season. In his rookie season with the Otters, Harper scored 24 goals, which was third among Ontario Hockey League rookies and tops for 1995-born players.

The resident of Burlington, Ont. was ranked eighth among OHL skaters by NHL Central Scouting in their preliminary rankings and was listed as an "A"-level prospect on the preliminary futures list by NHL Central Scouting.

Harper will play for Team Cherry, which will be coached by former NHL head coach and current CBC television personality Don Cherry. Harper is one of 14 players selected to play in the game from the OHL.

Otters forward Dane Fox and defenseman Adam Pelech each took part in last year's CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in Kelowna, B.C.

The Otters will take on the Niagara IceDogs Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. Fans can listen to the game on Fox Sports Radio AM 1330 The Fan or online at OttersHockey.com.
