Frederick Keys News Release
Frederick, MD - The Frederick Keys have announced that they will be celebrating their 25th season with a commemorative logo and activities throughout the 2013 Keys baseball season to celebrate this milestone in Keys history.
Keys staff are currently working on a special baseball card set featuring a selected Keys player from each year of the franchise. The card set will be available at the Keys gift shop at Harry Grove Stadium.
Another unique aspect of the 25th season will be Throwback Thursdays. Fans that attend Thursday games will get the opportunity to see the Keys wearing jerseys from their inaugural 1989 season.
There will be apparel and other merchandise items featuring the special logo, former Keys logos and other team memories. Concession stands will offer nostalgic souvenir cups and popular menu items from "back in the day."
The Keys will be reaching out to long-time fans for input on what else they'd like to see for this celebration as well as asking for memorabilia to feature at the stadium on the throwback nights. General Manager Dave Ziedelis expressed his excitement for the season. "We are looking forward to celebrating this milestone season with our Frederick Keys Baseball family, sharing memories from past years and creating new ones as we move through our 2013 season."
