McDavid Game Worn Jersey Reaches $1,000 on eBay

The game worn Connor McDavid Erie Otters jersey has met its reserve and bids have topped $1,000 less than 24 hours after being put up for auction on eBay.The jersey was worn by McDavid in the game against the Plymouth Whalers on November 28, in which he tallied a goal and an assist. The jersey is also autographed by McDavid on the back.
Bids for the jersey started at $100 when the jersey was put up shortly before 6:00 p.m. EST Monday night. In less than 15 minutes, a bid reached $500 and at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning a bid of $1,000 was put in.
The current bid for the jersey stands at $1,025. The auction will conclude December 13 at 5:41 p.m. EST.
McDavid has enjoyed an excellent start to his OHL career after receiving exceptional player status in March. The center leads the Otters with 17 goals and 36 points, which are marks that also tops among league rookies.
A resident of Newmarket, Ontario, McDavid will represent Team Ontario at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Quebec at the end of the month.
