Kingston-General Manager Doug Gilmour announced today that the Kingston Frontenacs have signed defenceman Matthew Watson. Selected by the club in the 5th round of the 2012 OHL Priority Selection, Matthew is the twin brother of Kingston Frontenac forward Spencer Watson. Currently with the Strathroy Rockets of the Greater Ontario Hockey League, Matthew has 2 goals and 6 assists in 25 games this season.

"We're excited to sign Matthew to a contract and can't wait to get him into the lineup over the next few weeks," said General Manager Doug Gilmour.

The Frontenacs are in action twice in December before the holiday break, including this Friday at 7 p.m. when they face the Brampton Battalion for the John Deere Teddy Bear Toss and on December 14 at 7 p.m. when they face the Mississauga Steelheads.
