Bulldogs Complete Comeback with 4-3 Victory

Hamilton, Ontario - The Hamilton Bulldogs defeated the Rochester Americans 4-3 at Copps Coliseum on Saturday night. Blake Geoffrion scored two goals including the game-winner and Brendan Gallagher added a goal and an assist.

The Amerks opened the scoring at 2:38 of the second frame on a goal by Brian Flynn. Marcus Foligno was stationed at the bottom of the right circle and slid a pass to Flynn who one-timed the puck from the slot past Hamilton Bulldogs starting goaltender Robert Mayer.

The Americans doubled their lead on Flynn's second goal of the game at 12:28 of the second stanza. Flynn came flying down the left side and wired a shot from the top of the circle over the left shoulder of Mayer.

The 'Dogs got on the board just 9:42 of the third period on a goal by Geoffrion. After the puck was laying in the crease, Geoffrion tapped it in past Rochester Americans starting goaltender Connor Knapp. The Bulldogs tied the game at 12:04 of the third frame on a goal by Brendan Gallagher. Patrick Holland took a shot from the point which bounced out to Gallagher in the slot who wristed it over the shoulder of Knapp.

Hamilton took the lead on a powerplay marker by Mike Blunden at 13:54 of the third stanza. Nathan Beaulieu rifled a shot from the point which tipped off Blunden and went in the net behind Knapp. With an assist on the play, Beaulieu earned his first professional point. The 'Dogs scored their fourth goal of the night on a second tally by Geoffrion, who flew down the right side and put a shot on Knapp and then shoveled home his own rebound.

Rochester got a third goal from Nick Tarnasky at 16:22 of the final frame. The Bulldogs outshot the Americans 34-27.

The Bulldogs' next game is Wednesday, November 7th at 7:30 p.m. vs. the Syracuse Crunch at Copps Coliseum.
