Creek Casinos Donate $4,800 to American Cancer Society

MONTGOMERY, AL - Prior to the start of the 2010 Season, Creek Casino announced that they would donate $100 to the American Cancer Society each time a Biscuits player launched a home run at Riverwalk Stadium. At the conclusion of the 2012 Season, the Biscuits are pleased to announce Creek Casino's total donation of $4,800.

Over the past three years, the total contribution donated to the American Cancer Society now stands at $15,200.

"Creek Casino is proud to be a part of this event every season. Look what we've accomplished in three (3) years. We've raised over $15,000 dollars for American Cancer Society just on home runs. Way to go Biscuits!" said Lynn Woodcock, Public Relations Manager with PCI Gaming.

Creek Casino is operated by PCI Gaming, a division of the Poarch Creek Band of Indians, operate two casinos in the River Region -- Creek Casino Montgomery and Creek Casino Wetumpka. A third property, Wind Creek Casino is located in Atmore, Alabama. In addition to the home run pledge, PCI Gaming also is the title sponsor of the Heritage Home Run Reading Program that took place this summer. This program took Biscuits players and Big Mo into local libraries to support their summer reading programs.

Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society's signature fundraising event. Through this event to celebrate cancer survivors, remember those who have been taken by this terrible disease and fight back through education, research, early detection and advocacy, communities across the globe come together and show their support while raising funds. This season, Outfielder Kyeong Kang led the team with 14 total homeruns. The Biscuits hit 3 grand slams and achieved monthly high of 22 HRs in August.
