B.C. Lions News Release
(Vancouver) Despite a disappointing road loss by the BC Lions to the Saskatchewan Roughriders last Saturday, the CFL announced this morning that linebacker Adam Bighill has picked up his fourth Defensive Player of the Week award. Today's announcement marks back-to-back weekly awards for the hard-hitting Central Washington product.
The sophomore sensation set a club record with his 13-tackle performance and leads the Leos with 77 tackles on the season. Bighill will lead the defence into Saturday's first place showdown with the Calgary Stampeders slated for 7:00 pm at BC Place (local TSN blackout in effect).
The next BC Lions home game is Saturday, October 6th versus the Calgary Stampeders at 7:00 pm presented by Pepsi. Single game tickets for BC Lions regular season games are available by calling 1.855.GO.LIONS or visiting bclions.com.
