Chivas USA returns home from its week-long road trip when it hosts Western Conference rival Real Salt Lake at The Home Depot Center for the third and final time in the season series, Saturday, Sept. 29. The clubs split the first two meetings, as each team came away with a clean-sheet on the road. The match kicks off at 7:30 pm PT and will broadcast live on Fox Sports West (with the possibility of slight delay at the conclusion of the prior sports program) in English and KWHY Channel 22 in Spanish. The all-time series began in 2005, with Chivas USA holding a two-game advantage in 22 meetings (10-8-4), including a 7-4-1 record at home. In the inaugural season of the rivalry between the Western Conference rivals, the clubs met four times and split the series that year, with each side winning at home. Chivas USA and RLS met in the 2008 postseason - with RSL advancing after a 1-0 win at Rio Tinto Stadium and a 2-2 draw at The Home Depot Center.

Third and Final Meeting This Season

Saturday's match is the third and final meeting between the clubs and will determine which side takes the season series.

Sparks Fly Between Rojiblancos and RSL

In 22 meetings between the clubs, a total of 55 goals have been scored, for an average of 2.5 per game. The Goats' all-time series high for goals in a game is five, with RSL at four.

Familiar Foes

Chivas USA Head Coach Robin Fraser was an assistant coach with Real Salt Lake from 2007 to 2010 and part of RSL's 2009 MLS Cup Championship. Goats' center back Rauwshan McKenzie was a member of Real Salt Lake in 2011 and 2010, appearing in six matches. RSL forward Justin Braun spent four seasons with the Goats from 2008 - 2011, appearing in 96 games and scoring 24 goals for the Red-and-White.

Iron Goats

All-Star goalkeeper Dan Kennedy is the only Goat that has played in every minute (2610) of Chivas USA's 29 games this season. Right back James Riley has also recorded an impressive 2520 minutes in 28 games.

Moreno Closing In On Vanney

Alejandro Moreno has played in 268 matches (215 starts) in his MLS career. The Venezuela native moved past his head coach on June 20 for games played, as Robin Fraser finished his distinguished MLS career with 260 life-time appearances. Assistant Coach Greg Vanney is just ahead of Moreno and Fraser with 270 regular season appearances in MLS.

RED-AND-WHITE COMMUNITY

For Saturday's match Chivas USA will launch its childhood cancer awareness campaign with the Goals for St. Jude night and will also be unveiling a public service announcement by goalkeeper Dan Kennedy, promoting St. Jude Hospital's services to families.

The All-Star Kennedy visited St. Jude Hospital in Memphis Tenn., Monday, as part of Chivas USA and MLS WORKS Goals for St. Jude partnership. Kennedy visited the various wards and encouraged patients of St. Jude to continue their fight against cancer. To read more follow link op-memphis

This past weekend, Chivas USA also participated in the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services Adoption fair, where the ChivaGirls and the ChivaFighter interacted with the children at the event.
