Brantford to Host AHL's "Battle of Ontario"

HAMILTON, ON - The Hamilton Bulldogs, American Hockey League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, announced today that the club will hold a pre-season game at Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre in Brantford, Ontario against the Toronto Marlies, AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, on Monday, October 8th at 7:00 p.m. in what marks the second of two pre-season games between the AHL's two Ontario-based teams. The Bulldogs and the Marlies will open their two-game pre-season schedules on Saturday, October 6th at 7:00 p.m. when Toronto will host Hamilton at Cobourg Convention Centre in Cobourg, Ontario.

With a capacity of 1,258 in the main arena at Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre, only 1,200 tickets available for the October 8th game. Advance tickets are $10.00 and on sale now through the Brantford Church Hockey League, at all Royal Bank of Canada branches in Brantford, College Source for Sports (including Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre location), Brant Sports Excellence, Paris Sports and Millards Accountants. If available, game day tickets will be $12.00 at Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre on October 8th.

Tickets for the game in Cobourg are $25 and can be purchased by visiting the Cobourg Community Centre reception desk at 750 D'Arcy Street in Cobourg. The contact number is 905-372-7371.
