Social Media Provides Saints Fans Special Offer for 9/7/12 Game

DUBUQUE, Iowa - Through the use of social media, Dubuque Fighting Saints fans will have the ability to select their price for corner tickets to the upcoming preseason game with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders on Friday, September 7, 2012 (or 9/7/12). Fans who "Like" the Dubuque Fighting Saints on Facebook, or follow the Fighting Saints on Twitter, will be eligible to participate in a drawing that will allow them to receive a discount on corner tickets to this game.

Through either social media source, fans will receive a code that gives them access to participate in the drawing. Once the code is presented, fans will be eligible to draw a slip of paper from a bowl to determine the price they pay for a ticket. Playing off the date of the contest, the bowl will be filled with slips of paper with the numbers nine, seven, and twelve on them. Depending on which slip of paper the fan draws from the bowl, they will have a chance to purchase corner tickets for a discounted price of $9, $7, or $12. Corner tickets are normally sold for $14.95 on game days.

To take part in this special offer, fans will need to purchase tickets in-person at the Mystique Community Ice Center and have the code obtained through Facebook or Twitter on-hand. This offer will also be available on the day of the game, as fans with an access code that purchase tickets at the box office on September 7 will also be able to draw from the bowl to select their ticket price. All Fighting Saints tickets purchased on the day of game are an additional $1.95.

The code to obtain access to the drawing has been posted on both the Fighting Saints' Facebook page, and Twitter page. Fans can "Like" the Fighting Saints by visiting, facebook.com/FightingSaints, and follow the Fighting Saints on Twitter by going to twitter.com/Fighting_Saints. The Fighting Saints box office hours are 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the box office opens at 9 a.m. on the day of the 9/7/12 game.
