
Ojala Transferred To Jupiter; Duarte Transferred To Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Suns, Double-A minor league affiliate of the Miami Marlins, announced today that RHP Mike Ojala has been transferred from Jacksonville to Jupiter. In a corresponding move, OF Jose Duarte has been transferred from New Orleans to Jacksonville.
Ojala heads to Jupiter after appearing in 12 games with Jacksonville in 2012. Ojala compiled a 0-1 record with a 4.08 ERA in 17.2 innings of work. He struck out 13 and walked six.
Duarte heads back to Jacksonville after appearing in 21 games with New Orleans. While in New Orleans, Duarte hit .233 with one homerun and four RBI in 60 plate appearances. In Jacksonville, Duarte has appeared in 52 games with a .204 batting average. Duarte also has one homerun and seven RBI for the Suns in 2012 with 212 plate appearances. Duarte will be assigned a number upon arrival in Jacksonville.
The Suns roster remains at the maximum of 25 allowed by the Southern League.
