RailHawks Lose to ScorpionsJuly 28, 2012 - North American Soccer League (NASL) Carolina RailHawks
San Antonio jumped to an early lead in the first half, when Janicki found the back of the net in the fifth minute of play. Just ten minutes later, Campos, the NASL leading goal scorer, tallied his 12th goal of the season to put the Scorpions up 2-0. The RailHawks would suffer another blow when defender Austen King was shown a red card for a foul on Campos in the 32nd minute. The RailHawks history of comebacks was not evident tonight, attempting another rally from behind, but with only with 10 players this time.
In the second half, the RailHawks were unable to control possession and San Antonio took full advantage of the player advantage scoring 6 goals. Campos scored three, Bayona and Wagner added one each and Janicki scored his second goal of the match.
The RailHawks will return to WakeMed Soccer Park on Saturday, August 4th at 7:00 PM when they host the Tampa Bay Rowdies. Prior to the match the RailHawks will host Que Pasa's Por Una Vida Mejor, a family-oriented fair that includes games, resources, live entertainment, and information on healthy living.
