
RiverKings Gear up for Desoto County's 'Relay for Life'

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. - It's again time to support and celebrate cancer survivors, while remembering the brave battles of those who have passed on at the American Cancer Society's DeSoto County Relay For Life, this Friday, May 18 at Olive Branch City Park (8267 Goodman Road,Olive Branch, MS 38654).
The Mississippi RiverKings invite fans out to this annual event, beginning at 6 pm that celebrates life and supports the ongoing fight against cancer.
Walkers will be on the track all night long, raising cancer awareness and funds for research, carrying on the tradition Dr. Gordy Klatt started in Tacoma, Wash. 27 years ago.
RiverKings staffers will be there too, selling baked goods and RiverKings merchandise, as well as raffling off a special "ËKing for a Day' 2012-2013 game day experience, proceeds of which will go to the American Cancer Society.
Cancer never sleeps, so come spend the night at the 2012 DeSoto County Relay for Life, and enjoy a good time helping fight cancer!
