
Aces Return for Fun-Filled Homestand

RENO, Nev.- The Reno Aces return home Thursday night for an eight-game homestand that will feature fireworks, a desktop cornhole set giveaway, beer specials and $1 hot dogs. First pitch is slated for 6:35 p.m. each night except for Sunday (1:05 p.m.) and Tuesday (11:35 a.m.).
Over the last four weeks, Reno has played at a .700 clip, a stretch that included three series sweeps. Reno went 5-3 on the road trip, and enters play on Thursday tied for second and just a half game back of the lead in the Pacific North Division. Josh Bell was named Pacific Coast Player of the Week on Monday, Adam Eaton leads the league in hitting, and Randy Ruiz and Ryan Wheeler are ranked among the PCL's RBI leaders.
The homestand kicks off with the arrival of the Oklahoma City RedHawks and a Coors Light Thirsty Thursday(tm) presented by ESPN Radio 94.5 FM and Reno News & Review. Fans can enjoy $2 beer specials through the middle of the fifth inning.
Friday's game will include Saint Mary's Fireworks Friday presented by KRNV News 4, with fireworks following the game. The Aces will also host Northern Nevada businesses for Small Business Night presented by Reno News & Review.
In addition to being televised on my21 TV, Saturday's game will feature the Desktop Cornhole Giveaway presented by KOLO 8 News Now. The Aces will also welcome local Girl Scouts to the ballpark to participate in pregame activities.
Sunday will be highlighted by the Renown Children's Hospital Family Funday. Fans can play baseball bingo for the chance to win an autograph mini bat, and one lucky fan will win a game-worn jersey just by participating. A pregame parade will be held for participating Youth League Day clubs. Fans are asked to bring new or gently used baseball gloves to the game to donate to Reno and Carson City Challengers. Kids are invited to run the bases after the Friday, Saturday and Sunday games.
Fans will be treated to $1 hot dogs provided by The Sausage Factory throughout Monday night's game against the New Orleans Zephyrs, as part of Om-Nom-Nomdays presented by KTVN Channel 2 News.
Bargain hunters can take advantage of another great deal on Tuesday with 2-for-$22 Tuesdays. Fans can purchase two tickets, two hot dogs and two sodas for only $22. 2-for-$22 packages can be purchased at the Aces Ballpark Ticket Office or by calling 334-7000. Tuesday will also serve as Education Day, with local students participating in pre-game activities.
If the Aces win Wednesday night, fans will be eligible for 30 percent off any one full priced item in the Aces Team Shop for Aces WINSdays. The offer cannot be combined with any other discount, and is only valid through May 30, 2012. Fans must present their ticket at the Team Store for the discount to be applied.
A second Coors Light Thirsty Thursday(tm) presented by ESPN Radio 94.5 FM and Reno News & Review will round out the homestand. The Aces will also host Irish Night presented by Reno News & Review. Fans can purchase a special $17 ticket that includes an Outfield Reserve seat and a commemorative Irish Night pint glass. Tickets for Irish Night can be purchased by using the code "Irish" at www.RenoAces.com/special.
