CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, May 3, 2012) - Chivas USA announced today the launch of its 2012 "HEART Soccer Camp" series, a unique initiative created last year dedicated to connecting the game of soccer to children and youth with special needs or those facing unique life challenges. This weekend's event will host children from the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools, the largest school turnaround organization in the country. The "HEART Soccer Camp" will offer 'Partnership' homeless students a day to escape their complicated circumstances and enjoy a day of fun and soccer.

Certified Chivas USA coaches and specialized volunteers will lead youth in a series of fun and unique activities that will have them practicing a variety of basic soccer techniques designed to teach them the basics of soccer. Camp participants will also be provided with lunch courtesy of Vons as well as tickets to that evening's Chivas USA vs. Chicago Fire match.
