Calgary Stampeders Unveil Premier Reebok Jerseys

May 2, 2012 - Canadian Football League (CFL) Calgary Stampeders

The Calgary Stampeders unveiled their new look for 2012 at a private fashion show at McMahon Stadium on Wednesday, with current members of the team modeling the reengineered Reebok jerseys. Also on hand were members of the Stampeders alumni who showed off all of the club's jerseys dating back to the early days of the football club.

Running backs Jon Cornish and Rob Cote and defensive linemen Charleston Hughes and Corey Mace had the pleasure of being the first Stampeders players to wear the new and improved player jerseys. Also unveiled on Wednesday were the new fan premier jerseys.

The new premier player jerseys are the result of two years of on-field testing and are lighter, tighter and more resistant to moisture for a greater range of motion and better overall experience. The fan jerseys offer a more lifestyle and relaxed fit than previous versions and are available in stitched down name and number.

"I believe our fans are going to love the new home and away Stampeders jerseys," said Lyle Bauer, president and COO of the Stampeders. "We invite our fans to show off their Calgary Stampeders pride and can't wait to see McMahon Stadium filled with red and white jerseys when we open our pre-season on June 15 against the Edmonton Eskimos."

The jerseys are available for purchase exclusively at the Stamps' Store and Stampeders.com today, starting at noon, through May 8.

"After two years of hard work and close collaboration with the CFL and the teams, Reebok is proud to introduce its reengineered CFL jersey," said Stewart Clark, director of marketing at Reebok Canada. "For a greater range of motion and a better on field experience, the new On Field jersey is tighter, lighter and now features a moisture wicking technology incorporated in the fabric. The fan jersey has also been improved to offer a more lifestyle fit."
