Kansas City Mavericks News Release
INDEPENDENCE, Missouri - The Missouri Mavericks announced Wednesday the team's dates for all 2012 summer hockey camps. The Mavericks will host camps for youth and adult hockey players throughout the summer including week-long camps as well as single sessions.
The camps will be directed by Mavericks' Head Coach Scott Hillman and Assistant Director of Hockey Operations Simon Watson. Between the two of them, they have over 25 years of hockey camp instruction experience. Along with their vast experience, Hillman and Watson collectively provide a fun and challenging environment for students of all ages to develop their skills. Below is a list of dates and a brief description of each camp:
Youth Camps
Complete Hockey Skills Development Camps
June 4-8; July 16-20; August 6-10
The Mavericks believe their focus for teaching is most effective by providing athletes an environment that fosters commitment, fun and passion. The Hockey Skills Development Camps are designed for players who want to improve their skills and knowledge of the game in order to achieve their personal best. Coaches Hillman and Watson, along with players from the Missouri Mavericks, will provide a disciplined and structured program expecting all athletes to work hard and have fun.

Tri-Sport Camp - Hockey, Golf, Tennis
June 25-29
This camp, designed for boys and girls aged 6-15, is for athletes to have fun practicing and playing three different sports in a supportive and fun environment. The golf and tennis portions will focus on the basics with the idea that if you are a hockey player that has never played golf or tennis you will be just fine. The on-ice concept is all about fun and games. There will be some power-skating activities and skill work but the design is for fun and games in a relaxed atmosphere.
