Omaha Storm Chasers News Release
PAPILLION, Neb. - Infielder Anthony Seratelli not only made his Triple-A debut but also played an integral role in the Storm Chasers 6-3 victory against the Round Rock Express on Monday night. Seratelli scratched out two hits and drove in three runs in the victory.
Mike Montgomery started for Omaha (4-1) but did not factor into the decision after giving up two runs and striking out three in 4.1 innings. Reliever Ethan Hollingsworth (1-0), who went three innings and gave up a single run, did pick up the win in relief of Montgomery.
The Storm Chasers fell behind early as Round Rock (2-3) tallied single runs in the first and third. Omaha's offense sparked in the bottom of the fifth when Clint Robinson doubled to right to begin the inning. Two batters later, right fielder David Lough snuck a lined-shot down the right field line for a triple to score Robinson and cut the Express' lead to 2-1. Tony Abreu, then continued his torrid play as he singled to bring home Lough. Cody Clark followed Abreu and singled through the hole at second base to push Tony to third. Seratelli then stepped to the dish and laid down a beautiful bunt to advance all the runners and give the Storm Chasers a 3-2 advantage.
Round Rock would not go down without a fight and knotted the score at 3-3 in the top of the seventh on a home run. Unfortunately for the Express, Omaha would not be denied. The Storm Chasers first batter of the seventh, Max Ramirez, hit a bomb beyond the right field fence to put Omaha ahead, 4-3. Several batters later, a Clark walk was followed immediately by a Seratelli two-run blast to round out the scoring for the evening and hand Omaha the 6-3 win.
Francisley Bueno worked a perfect final inning and two-thirds to pick up the save.
Omaha and Round Rock will tangle on Tuesday, April 10 at a special start time of 11:05 a.m. Tuesday's game is a COX Home Run for Youth Day and many kids from the local area schools will be in attendance.
