Blades Pitt Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Rookie of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Florida Everblades forward Scott Pitt is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Rookie of the Month for March. ÃÂ
Pitt, (23) totaled 19 points (7g, 12a) and was a +13 in 14 games during the month of March, helping the Everblades to an 11-3-0 record in the final month of the season. ÃÂ
Pitt posted three multi-point games during the month which included a career-best five-points (1g-4a), and a +5 rating, in an 8-2 win at Trenton on March 11.
The Ottawa, Ontario native finished fourth among ECHL rookies with 58 points (22g-36a) in 63 games this season. He tied for the lead among all rookies with six game-winning goals, and he was tied for third among first-year players in plus-minus at +20. The 6-0, 190-pound forward also appeared in six games this season with the Charlotte Checkers of the American "Ë Hockey League. ÃÂ
Prior to turning pro, Pitt played four seasons at Mercyhurst College where he tallied 132 points (47g-85a) in 156 career games. ÃÂ
Florida battles Greenville in Game Two of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinal Playoff series tonight at Germain Arena. Game time is 7:35pm. The Blades lead the series 1-0.
