Gilbert Recalled from Toledo

Rockford, Ill.- The Chicago Blackhawks announced that the National Hockey League club has reassigned winger David Gilbert to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs from the Toledo Walleye (ECHL).

In 23 games with Rockford this season, Gilbert has a goal and four assists. Chicago's seventh round selection (#209 overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Gilbert has played 29 career games with the IceHogs, amassing three goals and six assists.

The Chateauguay, PQ native has also appeared in 23 contests with Toledo this season where he has notched six goals and nine helpers for the Walleye.

Prior to turning pro, Gilbert, 21, skated in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with Quebec and Acadie-Bathurst, totaling 70g-86a-156pts in 209 games.

Next Home Game: Sunday, March 11 vs. Milwaukee: The 13th annual IceHogs jersey auction is Sunday night as Rockford takes on the Admirals. Puck drop is at 5:05 p.m. This year's theme is "Rock Vegas" and the first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a deck of IceHogs poker cards sponsored by Lou Bachrodt Auto Mall. There will be a live auction on the ice after the game for fans to win the special "Rock Vegas" jerseys worn by the IceHogs. The band "Dirty Fishnet Stockings" will perform before, during and after the game.
