
Marauders Announce 2012 Promotions

Bradenton, Fla. - The Bradenton Marauders, Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, today announced the schedule of promotional events for the 2012 season. There will be promotions that recur each week as well as exciting daily promotions to make every trip to McKechnie Field a uniquely fun experience.
Sunday games will start at 5:00 p.m. again this season, and new this year is the Bob Evans Fun Day Sundays promotion. Kids 13 and younger will receive a free meal voucher with their ticket and get to run around the bases after the game.
Monday nights are now Silverauders Night presented by Humana. Fans age 60 and older can join the Silverauders club for $30 and receive a free game ticket, free meal voucher, and a postgame Seniors Stroll around the bases at every Monday game. Monday night will also feature Baseball Bingo.
Tuesday the First Mates Kids Club members are the guests of honor. Kids 13 and under can join the club for $15 to receive a free game ticket, meal voucher, and a special giveaway or experience at every Tuesday game. Also on Tuesday the Bradenton Herald is giving fans two tickets for the price of one. The Sunday edition of the Bradenton Herald will contain a coupon for the two-for-one deal prior to each Tuesday home.
Plunder Your Hunger! returns on Wednesdays, courtesy of Jersey Mike's Subs. The promotion will appear with a new format. All tickets to Wednesday games are $12, allowing the ticketholder access to an all-you-can-eat menu for the entire game. An "item of the week," Jersey Mike's Subs, and samplings from local restaurants will be featured.
Thirsty Thursdays are back by popular demand. Presenting sponsors Bryan Pub Works and Budweiser will provide $1 select drafts and sodas. Fans can join the Thirsty Thursday Club for free to receive a loyalty card to earn great rewards throughout the season.
Happy Hour Fridays presented by Pier 22 Restaurant are a fun start to the weekend. Kayem and Cheney Brothers will provide free hot dogs and drink specials for an hour preceding the game. The weekend keeps rocking with Super Saturdays, featuring premium giveaways and various special events.
The number of fireworks nights doubles from three to six this season. There will be post-game fireworks shows each month, starting opening night (April 5) when Bright House Networks tops off their Customer Appreciation Night with a pyrotechnic display. Anyone presenting a Bright House Networks statement receives free admission to the game against the St. Lucie Mets. Gold Coast Eagle Distributing will present fireworks May 11, June 9, July 3, August 4, and September 1, which is Fan Appreciation Night.
Anna Maria Island Night presented by LaPensee Plumbing and Pools is April 20. The first 500 fans in attendance will receive a free beach ball. April 23 is A/C Warehouse Buyout night. Visit A/C Warehouse at 710 60th Ct. St. East in Bradenton for free tickets beginning two weeks prior to the game.
May includes several community-minded nights with a focus on helping others. The Marauders will raise money and awareness for the fight against Breast Cancer with a pink jersey auction during May 12's "Get Your Pink On!" Tobacco-Free Manatee Night will be held May 18 with the support of the Manatee County Substance Abuse Coalition. Military Appreciation Night is May 19, featuring a Marauders camouflage hate giveaway for the first 500 fans. On May 24 fans can learn about and prepare for hurricane season on Hurricane Awareness Night.
Four Bark in the Park nights are scheduled this season. Dogs can join in on the fun at McKechnie Field April 15, May 3, June 11, and July 20 in exchange for a $2 donation at the gate to the Humane Society of Manatee County.
Marauders games start at 6:30 most evenings, with Sunday games set for a 5:00 first pitch. Three 10:00 a.m. starts are also planned: Education Day on May 21, Summer Camp Day on June 20, and the season finale on September 2 featuring $1 tickets and Breakfast and Baseball with an all-you-can-eat pancakes and sausage breakfast for an additional $5 charge.
Holiday-themed promotions include a pre-game Easter Egg Hunt April 6, Half Way to Halloween on April 13, Christmas in July on the 13th, and Half Way to St. Patty's Day on July 19.
