2012 Flying Squirrels' Promotional Calendar: Fireworks Extravaganzas

RICHMOND, VA - The Richmond Flying Squirrels, Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, begin their week-long unveiling of the team's 2012 Promotional Calendar with the announcement of 21 Fireworks Extravaganzas during the 2012 season. The lineup of Fireworks spectaculars includes 2012 Opening Night on April 12th, three consecutive displays to celebrate Independence Day (July 4th-6th), and the return of the highly popular Thursday night Fireworks series.

The Flying Squirrels bring back the Thursday night Fireworks series, with the 2012 installment featuring eight separate shows presented by AT&T and Heart of Virginia Chevy. Additionally, Fireworks return on Wednesday nights, with displays on May 2nd, June 13th, July 18th, and August 22nd. Each of those shows is presented by Chili's @ VCU and Verizon Wireless.

"We always want to strive to give our fans more of the things they want to see, and that continues to be fireworks," said Flying Squirrels VP/COO Todd "Parney" Parnell. "With that in mind, we plan on blowing up more stuff than ever before in 2012 as part of our most expansive promotional schedule to date."

The Squirrels will once again bring fans a special Fireworks show slated for Tuesday, May15th. Fireworks will also help the team celebrate Memorial day on Monday, May 28th.
