Bradenton Marauders News Release
Bradenton, Fla. - The Bradenton Marauders have announced the hiring of Nate March as the team's Coordinator of Communications and Radio Broadcaster. March replaces Joel Godett, who held the same position for the past two seasons.
March attended Ithaca College, graduating in 2011 with degrees in journalism and social studies. During his time at Ithaca, March was the Sports Director for the college's student-run radio station, 92 WICB. The station received multiple national recognitions for sports programming under his leadership.
During recent summers, March has been the voice of multiple summer collegiate league baseball teams, including the 2010 NYCBL champion Amsterdam Mohawks. That team included three players who were subsequently drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Mel Rojas Jr. was drafted in 2010, followed by Taylor Lewis and Jon Schwind last June.
March worked most recently as the News Director for the Central New York Radio Group in Oneonta, NY. He also was involved with sports programming, calling play-by-play of high school sports and Colgate University sporting events.
The Marauders begin their third season in Bradenton Thursday, April 5th at 6:30pm with a home game against the St. Lucie Mets. Season tickets for the 2012 Marauders season are currently available for $245 for 70 games. For more information call (941) 747-3031 or visit www.BradentonMarauders.com.
