
Janesville Jets Clinch Playoff Spot

The Janesville Jets have already clinched a playoff spot in the 2012 North American Hockey League (NAHL) playoffs. Nineteen games remain in the 2011-12 NAHL regular season.
On the road this past weekend, the Jets swept the Coulee Region Chill beating them 4 -1 Friday night and then 4 - 3 Saturday night in Onalaska, WI.
The Jets overall 2011-12 record is 30 wins - 8 losses - 3 Overtime Losses in 41 games played. The Jets lead the Midwest Division with 63 total points. The St. Louis Bandits are in second place with 54 points, then the Springfield Jr. Blues. with 36, Coulee Region with 32 and the Chicago Hitmen with 20 points. At this point in the regular season, the Janesville Jets are one of only five teams to have secured a playoff spot within the 28 team NAHL. No other Midwest Division NAHL team has clinched yet. All four of the other playoff-bound teams to date are in the NAHL Central Division.
The Jets have now made the playoffs in all three seasons of operation. Playoff games will start in April. Remaining Jets home games are February 24 and 25 as well as March 8, 9, 30 and 31. Please note that the March 8th game is a Thursday night. All remaining Jets home games start at 7 PM with doors opening at 5:45 PM.
