The Austin Bruins kicked off a six game home stand at Riverside Arena this Friday night against the Minotauros from Minot North Dakota. The first frame was an excellent ace from Riverside as Austin peppered Jake Hebda saw 18 pucks. AJ Reid made his Austin debut paired up with Charlie Adams and John Kirby. Austin Flexed their depth as four lines had scoring opportunities in period number one. The second frame Minot scored on a rush taking a 1-0 lead. The Bruins answered back as Charlie Adams was set up AJ Reid and John Kirby. At the end of two periods the Bruins had outshot Minot 27-23. The third period Austin took the lead on the power play. Trevor Waldoch was set up by Brandon Wahlin and John Simonson. Brandon Wahlin scored an empty netter to put the icing on the cake. The Bruins recorded their 19th win of the season with a 3-1 victory over the Minotauros. Tomorrow night the Bruins will battle Minot to wrap up the series.
