
Bruins Fall in Shootout

Austin Bruins News Release
The Austin Bruins were back in action this Thursday night in Bismarck North Dakota as they collided with the first place Bobcats. Charlie Adams was set up by Jeremy Finger and Christian Folin and the Bruins led 1-0. The Bobcats answered back 17 seconds later as Dan Zawacki scored for the Bobcats tying the game at 1-1. The Bruins peppered Tommy Burke in period number one as the Bruins outshot the Bobcats 15-12. The middle frame Austin spent six minutes in the penalty box and Bismarck was able to take a 2-1 lead. After two periods of play the Cats outshot the Bruins 29-21. The Bruins were able to bounce back in the final frame. CJ Smith scored on the power play making it a one goal difference. Chris Tok than pulled the net minder Bruggeman and the extra man resulted in a goal as Johnny Simonson tied the game at 3. A very exciting overtime period concluded with both teams getting plenty of chances. The game went to a shootout and the Bruins were bested after the comeback. Tyler Bruggeman saw a total of 47 shots as the Bruins made an excellent comeback to gain one of two possible points.
