
Bakersfield Names New Head Athletic Trainer

BAKERSFIELD, December 14, 2011 - The Bakersfield Jam have named Shaun Mirza the new Head Athletic Trainer, the team announced today.
Mirza most recently completed a two year graduate assistantship at Arizona State University, working with Division I football, tennis and gymnastics athletes. He is currently working towards completing a Masters of Science in Athletic Training. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Illinois State University in 2008, where he worked with ISU's football and baseball programs. A United States Army veteran and paratrooper, Mirza was on active duty service with overseas tours from 2000-2003.
Jam Assistant Coach John Bryant, in addition to his coaching duties, will now also serve as Bakersfield's Strength & Conditioning Coach.
