Wolves Recall Effinger

The Chicago Wolves have recalled goaltender CHARLIE EFFINGER from the Central Hockey League's Missouri Mavericks.

EFFINGER has posted a 7-5-1 record, 2.90 goals-against average and .923 save percentage in 13 games with the Mavericks this season. His .923 save percentage shares fourth in the CHL, while his seven victories are tied for sixth.

The 26-year-old netminder spent the 2010-11 campaign backstopping the Newcastle Vipers of the Elite Ice Hockey League. He posted a 14-39-2 record and a 4.76 goals-against average in 56 games with Newcastle.

The Belleville, Ill., native notched a 24-11-3 mark and 2.64 goals-against average and .919 save percentage in 40 career CHL outings with Missouri and the Allen Americans spanning two seasons (2009-10; 2011-12).

EFFINGER will join the Wolves for their game against the Charlotte Checkers at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 15 at the Time Warner Cable Arena.
