The Week That Was
Fri., Dec. 9; Albany 0 at Rochester 3
Drew MacIntyre made 40 stops as the Americans shutout the Devils, 3-0, at the Blue Cross Arena. Marcus Foligno, Alex Biega and Derek Whitmore were the goal scorers for Rochester, which went 2-for-5 on the power play. Jeff Frazee made 21 saves for an Albany team that was without Steve Bernier, Matthew Corrente, Stephen Gionta, Jay Leach and Vladimir Zharkov. Additionally, defensemen Matt Taormina and Alexander Urbom were recalled by New Jersey earlier in the day.

In their first ever trip to Canada, the Devils lost, 4-1, to the Marlies at Ricoh Coliseum. Darcy Zajac scored for Albany and Keith Kinkaid made 21 stops. Toronto received power-play goals from Josh Engel, Nazem Kadri and Luca Caputi and a shorthanded goal by Greg Scott.

Notables
- After back-to-back road games, the Devils return to the Times Union Center for three games this week. The team has had success at home this season, going 8-4-1-1. The Devils have earned at least one point in nine-straight home contests, which is tied for the longest streak in the AHL.
- In the last five games, Albany has outshot its opponents 176-115 (35.2-23.0). For the season, Devils rank 14th in the league, averaging 30.24 shots per game. On the other side, the team is eighth allowing just 27.92 shots against per game.
- Saturday the New Jersey Devils recalled defensemen Matt Taormina and Alexander Urbom. The two players became the seventh and eighth Devils to make an appearance in the AHL and NHL this season. Others include Eric Boulton, Adam Henrique, Brad Mills, Nick Palmieri, Tim Sestito and Vladimir Zharkov.
- Matt Anderson's assist at Toronto Saturday was his team-leading 11th of the season. Additionally, the helper increased his point total to a club-best 16. For his career, Anderson has amassed 148 points (57g-91a) in 243 AHL games.
