
D-Fenders Send D-League High Six Players to NBA Training Camps

EL SEGUNDO - The Los Angeles D-Fenders had a D-League high six players invited to join NBA teams for the start of training camp, it was announced today. Headlining the group are Elijah Millsap and Zach Andrews, who were signed to the Los Angeles Lakers training camp roster yesterday.
Millsap, who was acquired by the Los Angeles D-Fenders in a trade with the Tulsa 66ers earlier this year, has averaged a team-high 23.2 points (.510 FG%, .526 3FG%), 7.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3.50 steals in six NBA Development League games since joining the club.
Andrews, who made the Los Angeles D-Fenders' roster earlier this year as an NBA Development League local tryout player, has averaged 11.1 points (.603 FG%) and 8.9 rebounds in eight games (all starts) for the D-Fenders this season.
Additionally, Courtney Fortson (Clippers), Brian Hamilton (Detroit), Terrence Roberts (Oklahoma City) and Jamaal Tinsley (Utah) were among the D-Fenders invited to training camps. To fill out their 10-man roster, the D-Fenders have signed James Wright (Colorado), Gerard Anderson (Cal State Fullerton), Larry Cunningham (UC Riverside) and Al Nolen (Minnesota).
The D-Fenders return to action tonight to take on the Idaho Stampede at 8 p.m. at the Toyota Sports Center.
