
Bighorns Outlast Legends in Tight Game

RENO, NEV.- The Reno Bighorns outlasted the Texas Legends Friday night, in a tight game that ended on a last second blocked shot. Cedric Bozeman had 24 points and 8 assists and Bighorns' newcomer Terrance Thomas added 18 points and 14 rebounds in the win. Booker Woodfox had 22 points for the Legends.
The game was tight throughout, with the teams exchanging leads 11 times. Thomas hit a long two-point shot with 17.2 seconds left in the game to take the 105-103 lead in the game. After Vance Cooksey of the Legends missed a shot to tie the game, Nick Fazekas missed two free throw attempts to keep the game close. When Woodfox attempted the game tying shot, Cedric Bozeman came from behind to block the shot and win the game.
Friday's win was the first win for the Bighorns in Reno this season. It also marked the first home win for head coach Paul Mokeski and new ownership group Bighorns Basketball, LLC.
Bighorns next game is December 16th in Tulsa against the 66ers. The team returns to Reno to face the Idaho Stampede on December 21st at the Reno Events Center.
