Windsor Spitfires News Release
The Columbus Blue Jackets announced today that Bob Boughner has resigned from his position as an assistant coach with the National Hockey League club. Boughner, who is also the president of the Windsor Spitfires hockey club joined the Blue Jackets organization in July 2010 after also serving as the Spitfires head coach from 2006-2010.
"Today's decision has been an extremely difficult one to say the least," said Boughner. "It was made for many reasons, most importantly being family. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Columbus. It was an unbelievable experience. I would like to thank the entire Blue Jackets organization for the opportunity. Moving forward, I will take some time with my family to decide what my plans for the future might be."
