Reno Bighorns News Release
RENO, Nev.- The Reno Bighorns have acquired Texas Tech all-time leading scorer Andre Emmett from the available player pool, filling the vacant roster spot from Danny Green's GATORADE Call-Up last week.
Emmett, a 6-5, 235-pound guard from Texas Tech, was the 35th overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft by Seattle. He has appeared in eight-career NBA games-all with the Memphis Grizzlies during the 2004-05 season-and 76-career D-League games with Austin and Los Angeles.
In four years playing for Bob Knight at Texas Tech, Emmett scored 2,256 points to become the Red Raiders' all-time leading scorer. He averaged over 20 points per game in both his junior and senior season, and was the first player in Big 12 history to be named to the All-Big 12 First Team in three consecutive seasons. In 128-career games at Texas Tech, he averaged 17.6 points per game.
Emmett is expected to wear No. 14 and be in action tonight as the Bighorns take on the Sioux Falls Skyforce inside the Sioux Falls Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. PT, and can be seen live online at nba.com/dleague. The Bighorns return home on Tuesday, March 29 at 7 p.m. against the Austin Toros.
Bighorns playoff ticket packages are on sale now, and can be purchased by calling (775) 284-2622 or visiting RenoBighorns.com. Fans can purchase tickets to all six potential playoff games, with any extra game tickets being refunded or credited to a 2011-12 ticket plan.
