Arizona Rattlers Add a Pair of Players

MESA, Ariz. - The Arizona Rattlers announced on Sunday the signing of WR/LB JASON GEATHERS and OL/DL ALONZO DURHAM.

Geathers, 30, has previously played for the San Jose Sabercats, Alabama Vipers, and Tampa Bay Storm in the Arena Football League. He was named to the AFL's All-Ironman team in 2007 and 2008.

A native of Delray Beach, Fla., the 6'3" 205-pound Geathers, had a tryout with the Cleveland Browns and spent time on the New York Giants' practice roster before making his way to the AFL. Prior to his professional career, Geathers played four seasons with the University of Miami Hurricanes, and was a member of the 2001 BCS National Championship team.

Durham, 24, took part in mini-camp for the San Francisco 49ers of the NFL and the Sacramento Mountain Lions of the United Football League in 2010. Prior to his professional career, Durham was named a 2009 First-Team All-WAC selection.

A native of Sacramento, Calif., the 6'3" 305-pound Durham, played four seasons with the University of Nevada Wolfpack, where he helped lead the way for the nation's third-best rushing attack in 2008.
