Indiana Mad Ants News Release
Fort Wayne, IN. September 23, 2010- The Fort Wayne Mad Ants announced today the launch of the Young Professionals Business Forum, a professional development group centered around a speaker series of prominent national and local leaders. Starting in October, members will convene once a month for nine months to hear and meet speakers from fields like law, real estate, communications, and sports business.
With the Mad Ants' ties to the National Basketball Association, team majority owner and former AT&T Wireless Chairman and CEO John Zeglis, and other investors, the team expects to pull from some of the top minds in the country to lead the series, exposing young professionals in Fort Wayne to a premier level of business knowledge and advice.
"This program is unique in its ability to give members access to a stellar lineup of our nation's top company presidents, CEOs, and leaders," said President Jeff Potter. "In today's market, all young professionals are looking for an edge, and this program provides that by making the very best in our nation's business community accessible to those in Fort Wayne."
The $300 membership, limited to men and women aged 40 and under, includes access to nine monthly sessions, including special admission to the Mad Ants' preseason media day and open practice. It also features one lower level corner season ticket in the Young Professionals' Ant Colony, section 219 in the Coliseum, for the 2010-11 Mad Ants basketball season and an invitation to the team's chalk talk before every home game. The year will culminate in a community service project with the Mad Ants players and dancers.
Events during the team's season will take place before home games at the Coliseum. Outside that time frame, events will be held throughout Fort Wayne in the conference rooms and meeting spaces of Mad Ants team partners.
Individuals, organizations, schools, and businesses can purchase memberships, which cost $300 each. Businesses can choose the company membership, which gives any employee of that company the ability to attend a Mad Ants Young Professionals Business Forum event. The Mad Ants season tickets included in the package can also be divided among multiple employees of the business to ensure that a company can fully make use of this great facet of the program. Flexible payment plans are available for all memberships.
