Bridgeport, Conn. - A day after the Bluefish clinched a playoff spot, Bridgeport (42-19, 78-53) won a 12 inning affair against the Lancaster Barnstormers (29-30, 60-69) by a count of 9-8. The Bluefish surrendered a four-nothing lead and trailed eight-to-five before extending the contest and picking up the victory.

Rick Bauer (0-4) suffered the loss as the righthander gave up a run in two-and-a-third frames.

Bridgeport tied the game in the ninth. With runners at first and second, and Bocachica down to his final strike, the second baseman scalded a single to leftcenter to knot the game at eight.

The comeback was complete in the twelfth. Tike Redman walked, with one out, and advanced to third on a single by Steve Moss. Phelps hit a sacrifice fly to rightcenter to close the deal for the Bluefish.
