RICHMOND, VA - (Tuesday, September 7, 2010) - The Richmond Kickers are pleased to host the second annual Recstravaganza on Saturday, September 11, beginning at 9:00 a.m. A family-friendly event, the Recstravagaza festival will feature food, inflatable games, giveaways, prizes and Kickeroo at the Kickers state-of-the-art sports complex, Ukrop Park. Soccer games will highlight the event as the Kickers rec season kicks off with over 65 teams taking the field throughout the day.

"We are looking forward to kicking off our fall recreation season with Recstravaganza," comments Jake Moyer, Richmond Kickers Rec Director. "Recstravaganza was designed to bring all of our recreational families together in one location to celebrate the beautiful game of soccer. Hosting the event at Ukrop Park alongside some of the club's sponsors and many of our other community partners really sets the foundation for an exciting season for our players."

Recstravaganza will feature inflatable games, including a 30-foot obstacle course, presented by Bounce 2 the Moon. HCA Virginia will be available for free health screenings throughout the day, alongside Virginia Blood Services, who will be conducting a blood drive in partnership with Cobb Technlogoies. Play N Trade Carytown will be on hand with brand new video games, which can be enjoyed in the Room Store World Player's Lounge while other vendors such as Sports Backers, Crossridge Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, Union First Market Bank, FAMIS and more will be distributing information and prizes during the event. Plus, each rec player in attendance will receive a free gift, courtesy of MARTIN'S Food Stores.

The Richmond Kickers rec program provides a fun and save environment for children ages 3-19 to enjoy the beautiful game of soccer. Recreational soccer is not about winning. The emphasis is on participation, learning and acquiring positive life skills. The Kickers offer recreational soccer at three locations throughout the metro area including Providence Middle School (Chesterfield County), Union Theological Seminary (City of Richmond) and Ukrop Park.
