
Stamps Sign Defensive Lineman Corey Mace

Calgary Stampeders head coach and general manager John Hufnagel is pleased to announce that non-import defensive lineman Corey Mace has signed a contract with the club. As per team policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
"I'm excited about Corey being here and to get him out on the football field," said Hufnagel. "I believe he'll be able to come in and compete at a high level during practice and I look forward to seeing what he can bring to the table."
Mace Prior to playing professionally, Mace played two seasons for the Wyoming Cowboys after transferring from Palomar Community College. In his senior season, Mace led all Cowboys defensive linemen with 51 tackles and earned second-team All-Mountain West Conference honours. At Palomar in 2004, he was second-team All-Mission Conference after recording 51 tackles, including 10 tackles for loss, and seven sacks. The next home game for the Stamps is the ENMAX Labour Day Classic on Monday, Sept. 6 against the Edmonton Eskimos.
